Kenosha, Wis. -- After Friday's opening day of competition, the 2026 CCIW Diving Championships concluded on Saturday afternoon in Wisconsin with the women's 1-meter and men's 3-meter events being held at Carthage College. Three Thunder women's divers participated in today's 1-meter field, and the reigning conference champion in the competition,
Lara Stamp, claimed the crown for the second-consecutive time with another standout performance. The sophomore added to yesterday's 3-meter event win to become the first women's diver in program history and the first Wheaton diver, male or female, since 2011 to hold both conference titles at the same time.
Ten women's diving student-athletes from four programs took part in Saturday's 1-meter competition, with
Renata Marantz joining Stamp and
Isabelle Fitzpatrick in representing Wheaton following the latter two's participation in Friday's 3-meter field.
Stamp, the CCIW Women's Diving Student-Athlete of the Meet at last year's conference championships, reaffirmed her status as the top women's diver in the league with another headline showing this afternoon. The Indiana native compiled a season-best score of 361.35 from 11 dives today to win the event by 17.30 points and secure her second-straight 1-meter crown. The second-year competitor is the fifth women's diver in CCIW history to repeat as the 1-meter winner and the first-ever Thunder women's diver to win consecutive conference titles. Her final tally on Saturday marked the most points registered by the conference champion in the 1-meter event since 2020, just as her performance in the 3-meter competition on Friday represented.
The junior Marantz (

career not far behind Marantz in eighth place with a final score of 260.25, also a personal best, ensuring that her final collegiate meet was a successful one.

The 2025-26 diving season has now concluded for the Thunder team, with attention turning to next week's swimming championships in Pleasant Prairie. But Stamp's campaign is not necessarily over, as she will wait to learn of her possible destination for the NCAA DIII Regional meet, seeking a return to the regional competition for the second-straight year.
Friday Recap
Kenosha, Wis. -- The 2026 CCIW Diving Championships began on Friday evening, as men's and women's divers from four schools traveled to the campus of Carthage College for the first session of this weekend's two-day competition. Tonight's program consisted of the men's 1-meter and women's 3-meter events, with Saturday's session involving the opposite. Wheaton was represented in the women's 3-meter field by two student-athletes today, and the reigning conference 1-meter champion,
Lara Stamp, made more program history by becoming the first Thunder women's diver to capture the 3-meter crown in the 17-year history of the diving championships.
Competing alongside four other divers on Friday, the sophomore Stamp tallied a score of 352.75 from 11 dives. This mark was the highest of Stamp's season, blowing past her previous best of 341.10, and surpassed her debut total in last season's 3-meter event by a whopping 56.75 points. 352.75 was enough to land her the top spot on the podium despite a spirited challenge by Carthage's runner-up, who finished the night just .75 points behind Stamp in a razor-thin competition.
Additionally, Stamp's score this evening was the most points accumulated by a women's 3-meter champion since 2020. The Indiana native became Wheaton's first CCIW women's diving champion in either event last February with a victory on the 1-meter board, and she replicated her historic success one year later to complete a career sweep in both fields.
Senior
Isabelle Fitzpatrick (

After tonight's impressive performances, Fitzpatrick and Stamp will return to action in the 1-meter field on Saturday afternoon, as the latter looks to secure her second-straight conference title in the event.
