Tess Boyer is named the CCIW's first Women's Swimmer of the Week in 2026-27

Wheaton, Ill. -- The first weekly swimming & diving honors of the new season were announced by the conference office this afternoon, and Wheaton senior Tess Boyer has been recognized as the CCIW Women's Swimmer of the Week following her headline showing at last Saturday's Chicagoland Triangular. Today's award marks the 12th weekly conference accolade of Boyer's decorated career.

The Thunder women's swimming & diving team competed against seventh-ranked University of Chicago and Illinois Institute of Technology in Saturday's tri meet, and Wheaton earned a team victory over IIT thanks in large part to Boyer's efforts. The senior All-American logged first-place finishes in all three solo races she participated in and posted a pair of career-best times in the process.

Boyer led the women's 200 IM field with a time of 2:06.49 that currently ranks third in all of Division III this year. She won the 200 yard breaststroke race with a personal-best 2:23.30 that stands as the tenth-fastest mark in Division III this season. And she posted a third conference-leading count in the 100 yard backstroke, winning the event with a career-best time of 57.80 that is 14th in the country.

After a highly impressive start to her senior campaign, the Kansas native and her teammates have this week off from competition and will return to action next Friday with their home-opening dual meet against UW-Milwaukee.
