Penfield, N.Y. -- Ahead of Tuesday's opening round at the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced its list of PING All-Region honorees for Division III men's golf. Seven regions were represented on the award list, and Wheaton senior Jonah Swartz was one of 15 student-athletes named to this year's Region V team. The announcement marks Swartz's first All-Region accolade and the first All-Region recognition for the Thunder program since Jonny Tink earned the same honor in 2013.

Swartz concluded his Wheaton career with an outstanding senior season in 2024-25, as the South Dakota native earned his second All-CCIW medal with a third-place finish at this year's conference championship, the highest individual placement for a Wheaton golfer at the men's tournament since 2013. Swartz's total score of 212 (-4) at the 2025 CCIW Championship set a new program record in the three-round era of the conference tournament, and the senior led the Thunder to their strongest showing at the CCIW Championship since the conference moved to a three-round event format in 2017.

Additionally, the standout veteran posted five top-ten finishes in the 2024-25 regular season, including four-consecutive top-ten placements in April alone. The senior's spring run was highlighted by a T-first finish at Hope College's Bob Ebels Invitational, which made Swartz the first Wheaton men's golfer to place first at a tournament since September of 2021. Swartz was named the CCIW Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week in back-to-back weeks last month, also making him the first Thunder golfer to earn the weekly award since September 2021.
