Lara Stamp concludes NCAA DIII Diving Regional Championship stay

Granville, Ohio -- Freshman diver Lara Stamp returned to the pool at Denison University on Saturday afternoon for the second and final day of the 2025 NCAA Division III Region 1 Diving Championships, concluding her weekend as the first diving student-athlete from the Thunder program to compete at the regional meet since 2015. Stamp took part in the women's 3-meter diving competition today following the 1-meter event on Friday.

Matched up alongside 32 fellow participants from programs around the region, the rookie posted a total of 263.65 points in the 3-meter field on Saturday after her 11 different categories of dives. She earned a net score of 136 from her 11 attempts with a combined difficulty degree of 21.7.

Stamp has concluded her 2024-25 season and can now reflect on an outstanding first year with the Orange and Blue in which she garnered four CCIW Diving Student-Athlete of the Week recognitions, won the conference title in the women's 1-meter event, was named the CCIW Women's Diving Student-Athlete of the Meet at the conference championships, and made program history by qualifying for this weekend's NCAA Regional meet. After an accolade-laden debut season, the freshman will return to competition along with her Thunder teammates in October.
