Naperville, Ill. -- The All-Conference teams for the 2023-24 CCIW men's tennis season have been announced, and Wheaton senior
Jack Booker was named to the Second Team list for his performances this year. This marks the second-consecutive Second Team accolade for Booker after earning the same recognition in 2022-23.
Booker matched up against the CCIW's top players this season, as he competed at No. 1 singles for the Thunder all year. He currently owns a 5-9 overall singles record in 2024 and went 1-5 in conference play in the top singles spot. He has also posted a 5-9 record in doubles action while playing alongside four different Wheaton teammates and has a 2-5 mark in CCIW play. All but two of Booker's doubles matches this season have come in the first position.
Additionally, fellow senior
Graham Shelton was named Wheaton's RESPECT Award winner for the 2023-24 season due to his positive character and attitude during competition. The CCIW RESPECT award is given to student-athletes that have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust.
Booker and the Thunder men's team open play at this year's CCIW Men's Tennis Championship on Thursday morning in a quarterfinal against the tournament hosts, Carroll University. Wheaton enters the competition as the #4 seed, and its match against the fifth-seeded Pioneers is scheduled to start at 10:30 AM in Waukesha.
