Tucson, Ariz. -- The Thunder baseball team's Spring Break schedule in the Southwest came to a premature end with this morning's game against Gustavus Adolphus College being called off due to unplayable field conditions. While the rain that forced Friday's doubleheader to be scrapped mostly subsided in the Tucson area, the complex where this week's games took place was hit with more showers yesterday afternoon, leaving the fields unusable in time for this morning's contest. Wheaton leaves Arizona with a 2-2 record for the week, including an 11-9 victory over today's scheduled opponents in their last game on Tuesday.

The Thunder's next matchup is their home opener on Friday, March 15th. Wheaton welcomes Saint Mary's University to Lee Pfund Stadium, and the team will try to shake off the rust as they host the Wheaton Invitational next weekend and play three games across 24 hours.
