Chicago, Ill. – The Wheaton Thunder volleyball team returned to conference action on Wednesday evening with a CCIW match at North Park. The Vikings defeated the Thunder 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 25-18) inside NPU Gymnasium.
Caroline Capps led the Thunder with nine kills in the contest with the Vikings. Capps reached a milestone tonight as she reached recorded her 1,000
th career in the third set. Her first kill of the final set marked the milestone 1,000
th kill of her career as she closed the night with 1,003 kills in her four seasons at Wheaton.
Emerson Traweek tallied six kills for Wheaton, with
Jordan Benford and
Ashton Major each recording four kills.
Lacey Higgins had 20 assists in the contest. Libero
Grace Autry had 11 digs, with Traweek adding seven.
Wheaton remains on the road for its next contest. Wheaton travels to Aurora University on Saturday night for a 7:00 p.m. matchup against the Spartans.
