Hanover Park, Ill. – The Wheaton women's tennis team hosted Kalamazoo College on Saturday for a home indoor matchup at Centre Court Athletic Club. The Tunder came out ready to roll and topped Kalamazoo for a 6-3 victory to move 13-4 on the season.
 
Wheaton was victorious in two out of their three doubles matches. At line one, Abygale Ahn and Lydia Adams had a solid 8-4 win over Kalamazoo's Renee Torres and Sophie Zhuang. Lily Anne Van Ye and Alexandra Wachs added another victory at the line three position against Ivy Walker and Rebecca Elias.
 
With a 2-1 lead on the side of the Thunder, the team finished the job in the singles portion of the match. At line three, Alexandra Wachs was the first to finish with a 6-0;6-1 victory against Meghan Killmaster. Lydia Adams was next at line four playing Maddie Hurley with a 7-5;6-3 win. At line two, Abygale Ahn posed another point for the Thunder by winning her match 6-2;6-3 versus Zhuang. Audrey Vick closed off the singles portion with a 6-4;5-7 (10-8) win over Torres at No. 1 singles.
 
The Thunder women's team will return to action on Friday, April 14^th at 700 p.m.. The team will be competing against Illinois Institute of Technology at the Wheaton Tennis Courts on campus.
