Kansas City, Mo. -- The 2023 NCAA Division III All-Region soccer teams were announced today by United Soccer Coaches, and senior midfielder Audrey Sexson represented the Wheaton women's soccer program by being named to the Third Team for Region VIII. The accolade is the second career All-Region nod for Sexson, who was named a First Team honoree as a sophomore in 2021.

Today's recognition adds to the list of honors for the Mahtomedi, Minnesota native, who was recently named a First Team All-CCIW performer for the second time as a Thunder player and twice earned recognition as the CCIW Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week this season. Sexson led the team with eight goals and five assists in the 2023 campaign for a squad-best total of 21 points and started all 18 matches for the Thunder. In eight CCIW matches, she recorded five goals and three assists. She found the back of the net in conference victories against Illinois Wesleyan, Carthage and Elmhurst, while also scoring both goals in a 2-2 draw against Millikin.

A team captain in 2023, Sexson helped guide Wheaton to six victories, a 5-1-2 mark in CCIW play, and a second-place finish in the conference standings.
