Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton volleyball team hosted Illinois Wesleyan (11-13, 5-3 CCIW) for a CCIW match on Wednesday night in King Arena. The Titans defeated the Thunder 3-1 (25-27, 25-22, 25-18, 25-22) in tonight's contest.

Caroline Capps led the Thunder with 17 kills. Ashton Major and Emerson Traweek each had 11 kills as Major posted an outstanding .476 attack percentage. Setter Lacey Higgins had 37 assists and 11 digs. Grace Autry had 19 digs, Traweek added eight digs and Paris Griffin tallied seven digs. Major had three total blocks, including a solo block.

Wheaton makes the short trip to Elmhurst University this weekend for the Elmhurst Invitational. The Thunder will face the host Bluejays on Friday at 2:00 p.m. in a CCIW match between the two squads. On Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Wheaton will face UW-La Crosse and the Thunder will take on UW-Stevens Point at 12:30 p.m.
