Wheaton, Ill. - The Thunder women's tennis team hosted Millikin on Saturday afternoon for the second CCIW home match of the weekend. The Big Blue defeated Wheaton 6-3 as Millikin improves to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in CCIW play. Wheaton is now 6-2 on the season and 4-1 in conference action.

Wheaton's No. 1 doubles team of Abygale Ahn and Madeline Gentry earned an 8-3 victory in doubles play against the Millikin tandem of Emily Markus and Paige Willer.

Audrey Vick defeated Markus 6-2, 3-5, 6-4 in their match at No. 2 singles. Alexandra Wachs was a 6-4, 6-4 victor at No. 4 singles against Millikin's Brianna Barconi.

Wheaton returns to action on October 4 when the Thunder host Elmhurst University in a CCIW match. The contest with the Bluejays is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. at the Wheaton Tennis Courts.
