Wheaton, Ill. - The Thunder women's tennis team hosted CCIW foe Illinois Wesleyan (0-3, 0-2 CCIW) on Friday night for the first of two CCIW matches this weekend at the Wheaton Tennis Courts. The hosts topped IWU 9-0 as Wheaton improves to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in CCIW play. Wheaton remains at home on Saturday as the Thunder host Millikin at noon for another CCIW match.
Wheaton won all six singles matches by identical scores of 6-0, 6-0 in today's dominating win against the Titans.
Madeline Gentry won at No. 1 singles, while
Audrey Vick was victorious at No. 2 singles.
Abygale Ahn won at No. 3 singles and
Alexandra Wachs picked up the win at No. 4 singles.
Lydia Adams was the victor at No. 5 singles and freshman
Janet Kondo was a the winner at No. 6 singles.
The Thunder dominated the Titans in doubles play as the hosts won each of the three doubles matches by identical 8-0 results. Gentry and Ahn were victors at No. 1 doubles for the 'Orange and Blue'. Vick and Adams teamed for the win at No. 2 doubles and Wachs paired with teammate
Lily Anne Van Ye for the win at No. 3 doubles.
