Waukesha, Wis. - The Thunder women's tennis team opened a two-match trip to Wisconsin on Friday afternoon with a conference match at Carroll (3-3, 1-3 CCIW). Wheaton defeated the Pioneers, 8-1.

Wheaton won all three doubles matches against Carroll today. Abygale Ahn and Madeline Gentry teamed for an 8-0 victory against Sophia Dekker and Madison Ostrander of Carrroll at No. 1 singles. Lydia Adams and Audrey Vick earned an 8-7 victory at No. 2 doubles against the Pioneers' team of Maya Gaedtke and Kaitlin Brandi. The Thunder No. 3 doubles team of Lily Anne Van Ye and Alexandra Wachs earned an 8-6 victory against the Carroll team of Makayla Counsell and Grace Krueger.

Gentry earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles against Dekker, while Vick picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win against Gaedtke at No. 2 singles. Ahn defeated Ostrander 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles and Wachs picked up a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 4 singles against Brandi. Adams topped Counsell 6-1, 6-2 in their matchup at No. 5 singles.

The Thunder face Carthage in a conference match on Saturday at noon in Kenosha.
