Wheaton, Ill. - The Thunder men's tennis team opened its 2022-23 season on Tuesday night in a home match against Judson University. Judson (2-0) edged the Thunder, 4-3.

All three of Wheaton's victories came in singles play tonight. Jacob Williams earned a win for the Thunder at No. 2 singles with a 6-3, 6-1 win against Judson's Hugo La Hei. Jack Wenzel picked up a 6-1, 1-6, 10-6 win against Maximillian Fortun at No. 3 singles. Tim Steiner defeated Judson's William Barnes 3-6, 6-1, 10-6 in their matchup at No. 4 singles.

Wheaton has two matches in the fall of its 2022-23 schedule. The second and final match is slated for 6:00 p.m. at home on Saturday, September 24 against MSOE.
