Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton men's tennis team hosted Concordia University Chicago on Monday evening for a non-conference matchup. The Thunder shut out the Cougars 9-0 in Wheaton's home finale for the 2022 season. Wheaton (12-6) returns to conference play on Thursday with a match at Carthage.
Jacob Williams was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at No. 1 singles against Concordia's Peter Rios.
Jack Wenzel was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at No. 2 singles against Caleb Gustafson and
Tim Steiner also earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory in his match at No. 3 singles against Joshua Wright.
Joey Geisz was 6-0, 6-0 victor at No. 4 singles against Concordia's Scott Engler. Wheaton's
Michael Walmer was a 6-0, 6-0 victor against Kevin Januska at No. 5 singles.
David Houlihan picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles against Andrew Schroeder.

Jack Booker teamed for an 8-0 victory at No. 1 doubles against the Concordia tandem of Rios and Wright. Williams and Geisz paired up for an 8-0 win against Gustafson and Engler at No. 2 doubles. Wheaton earned a win at No. 3 doubles behind the team of Walmer and Houlihan as the picked up an 8-0 win against Schroeder and Januska.Â
