Giovanni Weeks is a Third Team All-America selection by the website, and guard
Trevor Gabriele earned Fourth Team accolades. This marks the eighth-consecutive full season that the Thunder football team has had at least one player selected to the D3football.com All-America Team. The two selections this year gives Wheaton 46 total D3football.com All-America nods all-time among 35 different Thunder football players.
Weeks' (PICTURED LEFT) selection makes him a two-time D3football.com All-American, also earning Third Team honors in 2021. He is the seventh Wheaton football player two earn at least two All-America selections from D3football.com, joining: linebacker Adam Dansdill (2014 & 2015); defensive end Chase Greenlee (2016 & 2017); cornerback and returner
Pete Ittersagen (2006, 2007 & 2008); tight end Zach Lindquist (2016 & 2017); defensive end Dane Lundgren (1999 & 2002) and defensive tackle
Dallas McRae (2019 & 2021). Weeks is the first Wheaton running back to earn multiple All-America selections from the website and the third running back overall to earn the selection, joining: Dan Price (2003) and Garrett Granberg (2004).
Earlier this month, Weeks earned his second-straight All-Region award from D3football.com as a Second Team All-Region running back. This year, he broke his own Wheaton single-season record for touchdowns with 24 this year. The senior carried the ball 191 times for 1,245 yards as he averaged 6.5 yards per carry and 18 rushing touchdowns. Weeks recorded 29 receptions for 340 yards as he averaged 11.7 yards per catch, with six touchdown receptions.

This is the third All-America award for Gabriele (PICTURED RIGHT) this week as he is Wheaton's lone unanimous All-American this season earning a spot on all-three Division III Teams. Gabriele was named a First Team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association on Tuesday (AFCA) and earned a Second Team nod to the Associated Press All-America Team on Thursday. Gabriele is the 10
th Wheaton offensive lineman to earn a D3football.com All-America selection. He is the third Thunder guard to earn the honor, joining: James Hoxworth (2003) and Peter Gibson (2015).
A First Team All-Region Five selection by D3football.com, Gabriele keyed a Thunder offense that is fifth in Division III in total offense with a school record 507.2 yards per game. The Thunder offense ended the season 16th in D3 in rushing offense (225.8 YPG) and 27th in passing offense (281.4 YPG).
