Pete Ittersagen returns for his ninth year as part of the coaching staff at his alma mater for the 2024 season. A 2008 graduate of Wheaton College, Ittersagen was the 2008 D3football.com North Region Defensive Player of the Year. A two-time All-American selection by the AFCA and D3football.com, Ittersagen's 61 career passes defended is fifth on the all-time Division III list. Following his collegiate career, Ittersagen signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars and later made his NFL debut with the Tennessee Titans in 2010.

Ittersagen and his wife, Annie, reside in Wheaton.
