Wheaton, Ill. - The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced today winter 2021 competition schedules in the sports of men's basketball, women's basketball, men's indoor track & field, women's indoor track & field, men's swimming & diving, women's swimming & diving, and wrestling. 
 
Due to state and local restrictions, as well as campus visitor policies, no spectators will be allowed at any competition at this time.

Men's basketball is slated to begin a CCIW-only schedule on Saturday, January 23. The Wheaton men's basketball team tips off the 2021 season at home against Augustana at 2:00 p.m. on January 23 in King Arena.

The league's women's basketball schedule of CCIW-only contests  begins on Saturday, January 23. The women's men's basketball squad begins 2021 season at Augustana College at 2:00 p.m. on January 23 in Rock Island. The first home game for the Thunder is against Millikin on January 28 at 7 PM.
 
Thunder wrestling is slated to participate in the opening weekend of action on January 23-24 for its schedule of CCIW-only competitions. Wheaton opens the season in a four-team dual meet event at Concordia University (Wis.) on Saturday, January 23 that features Wheaton, Concordia (Wis.), Lakeland and Carthage. The Thunder host a five-team dual meet the following weekend at King Arena on Friday, January 29 that will feature Wheaton, Elmhurst, Millikin, MSOE and Lakeland    
 
Wheaton's men's and women's swimming & diving programs will host four event on the 2021 CCIW-only schedule. The first event features the Thunder against Augustana on Saturday, January 30 in Lederhouse Natatorium.

The Thunder men's and women's indoor track & field teams begin their season on Saturday, February 6 with a four-team event at Carthage College. The season-opening meet in Kenosha will feature Wheaton, Carthage, Elmhurst and North Park.

Additionally, the CCIW announced today that fall sport schedules will be announced next week. Campus and conference officials will continue to monitor federal, state, local and campus conditions and testing availability and will make changes as necessary.
