Sanford, Fla. - The Wheaton men's tennis team faced Rhodes College on Tuesday afternoon in the second of four matches this week in the Orlando area. The Lynx defeated the Thunder 6-3 in the matchup.
Wheaton was victorious in two of the three doubles matches. The Wheaton tandem of
Anderson Park and
Andrew Bristol earned an 8-6 victory at No. 1 doubles against Frank Stich and Phil Lauture. Wheaton's No. 3 doubles team of
David Houlihan and
Alex Winters earned an 8-6 win against Rhodes' Stuart Tuck and Ted Hall.
Jeremiah Yi picked up Wheaton's win in singles action against Rhodes. Yi earned a 6-1, 6-3 victory against Andrew Morton in their matchup at No. 2 singles.
The Thunder return to action tomorrow morning with a contest against Case Western-Reserve. Wheaton's match against the Spartans is slated to begin at 11:30 a.m.
