Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton women's tennis team remains undefeated on the season following a 7-2 victory at home against Carthage (0-1, 0-1 CCIW) on Friday evening. The Thunder improve to 3-0 on the year and 1-0 in CCIW play.
Sophomore
Claire Dibble was a 6-3, 6-1 winner at No. 3 singles in her match against Carthage's Sam Ramsey.
Nicole Freeman defeated Rachel Anderson 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4 singles.
Abygale Ahn was a 6-2, 6-2 victor against Nia Pham at No. 5 singles and Wheaton sophomore
Bethany Hoogerheide won a 6-3, 6-2 decision against Sierra Sonnemaker at No. 6 singles.
Claire Browning teamed with Ahn for an 8-4 victory against the Carthage team of Jen Ptak and Giana Apostoli at No. 1 doubles. Dibble and Freeman picked up an 8-3 win against the Lady Reds' No. 2 doubles team of Anderson and Ramsey.
Emme Lindquist and Hoogerheide topped the Carthage No. 3 doubles team of Nia Pham and Sierra Sonnemaker in an 8-3 decision.
The Thunder will host Carroll on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in a CCIW matchup at the Wheaton Tennis Courts.
