Madison, Wis. - The Wheaton volleyball team participated in the Edgewood College Tri-Match on Saturday with matches against Edgewood College and UW-Oshkosh. Wheaton defeated Edgewood 3-1 (25-21, 25-12, 20-25, 25-19) in the first match for the Thunder. UW-Oshkosh defeated the Thunder 3-0 (11-25, 15-25, 16-25) in the finale.

In Wheaton's 3-1 victory against Edgewood, Audrey Gerze (PICTURED ABOVE) led the Thunder with a team-high 10 kills. Ellie Brown talliied nine kills and Colleen Smith added seven kills. Cassie Swiderek had a team-high 18 digs with three service aces. Kaylee Byerley tallied seven total blocks and Sofia Pluhar added two service aces. Alecia Funk distributed 13 assists and Marlee Anderson had 11 assists.

Against UW-Oshkosh, Colleen Smith led the Thunder with six kills as Deborah Smith and Audrey Gerze each added three kills. Anderson had a team-high nine assists. Gerze registered 11 digs and Swiderek added nine.

Wheaton travel to Carthage College for a CCIW matchup in Kenosha, Wisconson on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
