Kenosha, Wis. - Sixth-ranked Carthage College (16-1, 2-0 CCIW) topped the Thunder volleyball team 3-0 (25-9, 25-19, 25-12) on Wednesday night in a CCIW matchup. Wheaton is now 10-4 on the season and 2-1 in conference play.

Audrey Gerze led the Thunder with 16 digs, while Allie High added 11 digs and Colleen Smith tallied 10 digs. Alecia Funk distributed 10 assists for the guests tonight.

Deborah Smith and Colleen Smith each had five kills to lead the Thunder attack. Gerze registered four kills and Ellie Brown had three.

The Thunder return to action with a pair of matches at home on Friday evening in King Arena. Wheaton entertains Aurora University at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, followed by a match against Illinois College at 7:00 p.m.
