Dubuque, Iowa - The Wheaton women's soccer team defeated Loras College 3-0 on Saturday night at the Rock Bowl in Iowa. Wheaton improves to 7-1 overall, while the Duhawks fall to 5-3.
Molly Thorne tallied Wheaton's first goal in the 10th minute of the match as she capitalized on a
Sara Bakke assist. The Thunder led 1-0 at the halftime intermission. Wheaton out-shot the Duhawks 14-3 in the first half 7-3 advantage in shots on goal for the guests.
Wheaton added two more goals in the second half. An own goal for the Thunder in the 75th minute increased the Wheaton lead to 2-0. Sophomore
Aeva Graber netted a goal for the guests in the 79th minute to account for the 3-0 Wheaton advantage in the final score.

Lauren Ketchum made four saves in 90 minutes of action in the Wheaton net. Loras netminder Kaylee Coble made nine saves and allowed three goals in her 90 minutes of work in the Duhawks' net. Wheaton out-shot Loras 23-9 in the match, including a 10-4 advantage for the guests in shots on goal.
Wheaton remains on the road next Tuesday as the Thunder travel to University of Chicago for a matchup with the Maroons at 4:00 p.m.
