Wheaton, Ill. – Two early goals sparked the Thunder men's soccer team to its second consecutive victory on Friday night at Joe Bean Stadium. A pair of goals in the first 16 minutes set the tone for Wheaton in a 3-0 victory over Albion College. Wheaton improves to 4-2 on the season with all four wins coming at Joe Bean Stadium. Wheaton's home winning streak sits at 14 as the Thunder continue their four-game home stand next, welcoming University of Chicago on September 17 and Washington University (Mo.) on September 20.
Wheaton controlled the pace for much of the match, owning a 17-13 shot advantage, putting 10 of their shots on goal to just eight by the Britons.
Hasten Biddlecome stopped seven shots in 74 minutes in net before giving way to
Drew Cammarano, who stopped one shot.
With Wheaton tilting the field in its favor early on,
Dillon Etter gave Wheaton the lead it would not relinquish, blasting a curving shot
(VIDEO) from outside the box that ducked under the crossbar in the ninth minute. Late in the 16
th minute,
Will Woodfin was hauled down in the box, drawing a penalty kick which he converted for his second goal of the season to give Wheaton a 2-0 lead.
After the initial surge by the Thunder, Albion was able to balance the play, pushing play into the Thunder attacking third and keeping the score 2-0 at halftime. Wheaton manufactured a goal off a beautiful give-and-go

Peter Whallon finishing a
Ben Ferraro assist. The play came directly after a strong defnesive challenge by
Miseker Wingate to dispossess the Britons.
Shane Kopplin capped the scoring in the 76
th minute when
Wes Bevard sent a pass into the box that was touched on by
Alessandro D'Argento for Kopplin's first goal
