Wheaton, Ill. – The sixth-ranked Wheaton Thunder women's soccer team shut out Calvin 2-0 on Wednesday night at Joe Bean Stadium. Wheaton improves to 5-0 on the season and Calvin is now 0-4-1.

The Thunder reached the scoreboard early when sophomore
Aeva Graber (PICTURED ABOVE) kicked ball just short of the goal and it bounced past two players, including Calvin goalkeeper Amy Kliewer, to give Graber her third goal of the season (
VIDEO). The unassisted goal came just 2:39 into the match to give Wheaton the early 1-0 lead.
Isabelle Oliver (PICTURED LEFT) increased Wheaton's lead to 2-0 with a goal at the 35:43 mark of the match.
Sophia Lindquist lobbed the ball into the penalty box area to find a hustling Oliver in front of the right post. Oliver smacked the ball into the back of the net for the goal (

Wheaton out-shot the Knights 11-2 in the first half, including a 7-1 edge in shots on goal. Wheaton was awarded three corner kicks in the first half and Calvin attempted two.
Neither team scored in the second half of the match. Wheaton held a 15-3 advantage in shots over the final 45 minutes, including a 5-1 edge in shots on goal. Wheaton attempted five corner kicks in the second half and Calvin had one.

Lauren Ketchum made two saves in her 90 minutes of action in the Thunder net. Kliewer registered 13 saves and allowed two goals in the Calvin net. Wheaton out-shot the Knights 26-5, including a 15-2 edge in shots on goal. Wheaton attempted eight corner kicks in the match and Calvin had three.
The Thunder return to action on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. when UW-La Crosse visits Joe Bean Stadium.
