Hanover Park, Ill. - The Wheaton men's tennis team closed out the regular season on Saturday with a 6-3 victory against Millikin (12-6, 4-3 CCIW). Wheaton concludes its regular season schedule with a 10-9 overall record and a 6-1 mark in CCIW play. The Thunder will participate in the 2019 CCIW Men's Tennis Championship next weekend in Decatur, Illinois.
Anderson Park was a 6-4, 6-0 winner against Millikin's Jacob Palley at No. 1 singles. Freshman
Jacob Panjwani rallied for a 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 victory at No. 3 singles against Greg Schwoeppe.
Christopher Jones pikced up a 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 5 singles against Millikin Holden Owens.
Jack Guenther picked up a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 6 singles against Nick Laramee.
The Thunder No. 2 doubles team of Park and Alex Winters earned an 8-4 victory against Schwoeppe and Logan Bennett. The No. 3 doubles team of Panjwani and Guenther earned an 8-4 victory against Laramee and Owens.
