Elmhurst, Ill. - The Wheaton men's tennis team shut out Elmhurst College, 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon in a CCIW match. The victory was the fifth-consecutive win for the Thunder as Wheaton improves to 8-8 overall and 4-0 in CCIW play. Elmhurst is now 5-8 on the season, including a 1-2 mark in CCIW play.

Anderson Park was a 6-0, 6-0 victor against Elmhurst's David Demoll in their matchup at No. 1 singles.
Josh Cheng won a 6-1, 6-2 matchup against Elmhurst's Shawn Sabaricos at No. 2 singles and freshman
Jacob Panjwani won a 6-3, 6-2 decision against Grant O'Connell at No. 3 singles. Alex Winters was a 6-4, 6-2 winner against Elmhurst's Lance Maharry at No. 4 singles.
Christopher Jones defeated Chris Wallace 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5 singles and
Jack Guenther earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Elmhurst's Tavious Imperial at No. 6 singles.
Cheng and
Andrew Bristol teamed for an 8-1 victory at No. 1 doubles against Elmhurst's Demoll and Sabaricos. The Thunder No. 2 doubles team of Park and Winters defeated O'Connell and Maharry 8-4. Panjwani and Guenther topped the Elmhurst No. 3 doubles team of Wallaice and Imperial 8-0.
The Thunder return to action on April 23 in a CCIW match at North Central in Naperville.
