Altamonte Springs, Fla. - Tuesday night the Wheaton men's tennis team played its second of four matches in Florida for this week's Spring Break trip. Oglethorpe (6-2) rallied to defeat the Thunder 5-4.
Wheaton swept the doubles matches against Oglethorpe on Tuesday night. Wheaton's
Josh Cheng and
Andrew Bristol won an 8-5 matchup at No. 1 doubles against Oglethorpe's Walker Benson and Richard Johnson. The Thunder No. 2 doubles team of
Alexander Winters and
Anderson Park earned an 8-4 win against the Stormy Petrels' tandem of Michael Santaloci and Connor Sisson.
Jacob Panjwani and
Jack Guenther won an 8-6 matchup at No. 3 doubles against Calvin Schneider and Zoe Raymond.Â
Wheaton's victory in singles play came at No. 1 singles. Thunder sophomore
Anderson Park defeated Walker Benson 6-1, 7-6.
Wheaton (2-6) faces Transylvania University on Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. (EDT).
