Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton women's basketball team will host the Semifinals and Championship Game of this week's CCIW Women's Basketball Tournament. The top seeded Thunder will face fifth seed North Park on Friday at 7:00 p.m. in King Arena in the evening's second semifinal game. The opening semifinal game will feature No. 2 seed Illinois Wesleyan against No. 3 seed Carthage inside Wheaton's King Arena at 5:00 p.m. The CCIW Women's Basketball Tournament Championship Game will feature Friday's two semifinal victors at 7:00 p.m. in King Arena.

No CCIW passes or Wheaton season passes will be honored for the conference tournament. Students with valid CCIW school ID will be admitted free of charge. Ticket prices for all sites are $8.00 for adults, $4.00 each for seniors, and students, children under three-years-old will be admitted for free.

The tournament opened on Tuesday, February 19 with a pair of first round games. Carthage defeated No. 6 seed Elmhurst, 61-53 in Kenosha. North Park was a 63-47 winner at No. 4 seed Augustana on Tuesday evening.

The winner of the 2019 CCIW Women's Basketball Tournament will earn the conference's automatic bid to the upcoming NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship.
