Wheaton, Ill. - The Thunder swim teams kicked off a busy weekend on Friday night with a dual meet sweep of Olivet Nazarene University at Lederhouse Natatorium. The Thunder men's team was victorious 136-112 with the Thunder women knocking off the Tigers 129-114. Wheaton will be back in action again on Saturday when the Thunder host Augustana and North Central for a double dual meet at 11 am at Lederhouse Natatorium.
The Thunder men capped the meet with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay.

Jacob Lippiatt finished in 1:39.46 to edge the Tigers by four-tenths of a second. The Wheaton women's quartet of Maggie Franke, Kirsten Peters, Hannah Stevens, and Brooke Barnes won a thrilling 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:41.15, beating ONU to the wall but just one-hundredth of a second.
Barnes also won a pair of individual contests, earning top honors in the 50-yard (24.45) and 100-yard freestyle (53.55). Bethany Doyle won the 200-yard backstroke in 2:20.97. Katy Coley won the 100-yard butterly in 1:03.53 and Gentry Musgrove won the 200-yard butterfly in 2:25.74. McKenna Lenderink rounded out the women's winners with a time of 5:20.39 to win the 400-yard individual medley.
Jonathan Schofield topped the 500-yard freestyle in 4:59.41 and the 100-yard backstroke in 55.87. 
Will Rinne took first place in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:43.92. 
Chris Szymczak won the 200-yard backstroke in 1:57.16. Ben Griffith claimed the 100-yard breaststroek in 59.75 seconds and 
Ethan Kile won the 200-yard breaststroke by less than a second with a time of 2:17.28.
