Thunder women's soccer to host Augustana on Wednesday in a CCIW Tournament Semifinal

Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton women's soccer program will host a CCIW Tournament semifinal match on Wednesday. The winner of the CCIW Women's Soccer Tournament will earn the conference's automatic bid to 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship.

Wheaton is the No. 1-seed in the 2019 CCIW Women's Soccer Tournament and will host fourth-seeded Augustana on Wednesday November 6 at 7:00 p.m. No. 2 seed Illinois Wesleyan hosts third seed North Central on Wednesday in the other semifinal. The 2019 CCIW Women's Soccer Tournament Championship match will feature the advancing team from each semifinal, playing at the highest remaining seed on Saturday November 9. If Wheaton is the highest remaining seed following the semifinals, the Thunder will host the Championship Match on November 9 at 6:00 p.m.

Wheaton has won a league-best 13 of the 17 CCIW Tournaments that have been held since the event began in 2002. Illinois Wesleyan (2010, 2016 and 2018) has won the tournament twice and Augustana was the tournament champion in 2009.

Ticket prices are $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for seniors and youth/students under 14, and children under five-years-old will be admitted for free. Students with valid CCIW school ID will be admitted free of charge.  As a CCIW Championship event, no CCIW parent passes, faculty/staff ID's, or Thunder season passes will be honored.
