Hanover Park, Ill. - The Wheaton women's tennis team remained perfect on the fall season with a 9-0 victory against Illinois Wesleyan (2-4, 2-3 CCIW) on Friday at Centre Court Athletic Club. Friday's matchup was moved to the facility in Hanover Park due to rain. Wheaton is now 7-0 on the season, with a 5-0 record in conference play.
Emma Westwick picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win against Sofia Pinheiro at No. 1 singles and Thunder senior
Sara Magnuson earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles against Anna Cooper.
Claire Browning was a 6-1, 6-1 victor against Rebecca Rochaz in their matchup at No. 3 singles and
Claire Dibble was a 6-1, 6-1 winner against Alessia Girardin at No. 4 singles.
Nicole Freeman topped Ashley Mohr 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5 singles and freshman
Bethany Hoogerheide won a 6-0, 6-0 decision against Sam Robinson at No. 6 singles.
Dibble and Browning teamed up for an 8-3 victory at No. 1 doubles against Cooper and Mohr of Illinois Wesleyan. Freeman and Magnuson paired up for an 8-3 victory against Pinheiro and Rochacz at No. 2 doubles. Hoogerheide and Westwick were 8-2 victors against Girardin and Robinson at No. 3 doubles.
The Thunder hosts North Park Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. on the Wheaton campus.
