Decatur, Illinois - The Thunder men's tennis team improved to 2-0 in CCIW play with a 7-2 victory at Millikin on Saturday afternoon. Millikin won two of the three doubles matches to take an early 2-1 lead, however, Wheaton closed out the match by winning all six singles competitions for the 7-2 victory.

Wheaton freshman Anderson Park defeated Millikin's Jacob Palley 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles Dane Paulsen won a 6-3, 6-0 decision against Colin Sandgren at No. 2 singles. Jeremiah Yi rallied for a 5-7, 7-6 (10-8), 10-5 win against Millikin's Greg Schwoeppe at No. 3 singles. Josh Cheng was a 6-3, 6-2 winner against Millikin's Logna Bennet at No. 4 singles. Karl Wenzel defeated Millikin's Dane Pierantoni 6-1, 6-2 in the matchup at No. 5 singles and Alexander Winters was a 7-5, 6-4 victor at No. 6 singles against Nick Laramee.

Wheaton's lone win at doubles came from the No. 3 doubles team of Winters and Andrew Bristol as the earned an 8-1 victory against Thomas Emola and Logan Bennett.

The Thunder return to action April 11 when Wheaton hosts Elmhurst at 4:00 p.m.
