Wheaton, Ill.- Voting is now open for the 2018 Wheaton Male Performance of the Year! The inaugural award features performances by
Aston Francis,
Carlos Fuentez,
Corey Kennedy,
Michael McCraith, and
Leif Van Grinsven There are several ways to vote for your favorite performance:
1.
Vote in the official poll on our Facebook page.
2. Vote on Twitter using the official hashtag tied to each performance.
3. Number of likes on each performer's picture on Instagram
The winner will be determined by a combination of Instagram likes (40%), Twitter hashtag mentions (30%) and Facebook poll results (30%).

Aston Francis put on a show in Wheaton's 99-77 win at UW-Platteville, scoring 32 first half points and finishing with a school-record 54 points. Francis was a perfect 15-of-15 from the free throw line and made 16-of-27 field goal attempts including seven three-pointers.

Carlos Fuentez thrilled the crowd at the 2018 NCAA Championships with his aggressive, attacking style. Trailing in the Championship match, Fuentez whipped the crowd into a frenzy with a frantic rally that fell just short as Fuentez finished in second place in the 125-pound weight class.

Corey Kennedy set the tone for Wheaton's rout of Elmhurst by forcing a fumble, which he returned for a touchdown on the first play of the game. Kennedy later also returned an interception for a touchdown.

Michael McCraith had it going in his first start of the annual spring trip for the Thunder baseball team. McCraith struck out five of the first six batters he faced en route to a 14-strikeout performance over seven innings in which he allowed only one run.

Leif Van Grinsven turned in an impressive second-day performance to climb to a sixth place finish in the decathlon at the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships to become Wheaton's first athlete to repeat as an All-American in the decathlon.
Voting is open until the end of the day on January 4, 2019. The 2018 award winners will be announced during the broadcast of the men's basketball game against Carroll on January 5, 2019.
