Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton women's soccer program will host a CCIW Tournament semifinal match on Wednesday. The winner of the CCIW Women's Soccer Tournament will earn the conference's automatic bid to 2018 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship.
Wheaton is the No. 1-seed in the 2018 CCIW Women's Soccer Tournament and will host fourth-seeded Elmhurst on Wednesday October 31 at 7:00 p.m. Third-seeded Illinois Wesleyan will travel to second seed Augustana on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the other semifinal. The 2018 CCIW Women's Soccer Tournament Championship match will feature the advancing team from each semifinal, playing at the highest remaining seed on Saturday November 3. If Wheaton is the highest remaining seed following the semifinals, the Thunder will host the Championship Match on November 3 at 7:00 p.m.
Wheaton has won a league-best 13 of the 16 CCIW Tournaments that have been held since the event began in 2002. Illinois Wesleyan (2010 and 2016) has won the tournament twice and Augustana was the tournament champion in 2009.
Ticket prices are $6.00 for adults, $3.00 for seniors and youth/students under 14, and children under five-years-old will be admitted for free. Students with valid CCIW school ID shall be admitted free of charge. As a CCIW Championship event, no CCIW parent passes, faculty/staff ID's, or Thunder season passes will be honored.
