Decatur, Ill. – The Wheaton women's soccer team defeated Millikin 2-0 on Wednesday night. Tonight's victory is the eighth in a row for the ninth-ranked Thunder as Wheaton improved to 13-2 overall and 6-0 in CCIW play. Wheaton will put its eight-match win streak on the line Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. when the Thunder hosts top-ranked Washington University-St. Louis.

Isabelle Oliver who put the ball in the back of the net on a shot from five yards out for a 1-0 Thunder lead. Six minutes and four seconds later, it was Oliver that delivered an assist on a Thunder goal. The sophomore served the ball up to freshman
Sara Bakke who scored from 15 yards out at the 32:11 mark of the match to extend Wheaton's lead to 2-0.
Wheaton maintained its 2-0 lead at halftime. The Thunder out-shot Millikin 19-1 in the first half, including a 9-0 advantage in shots on goal.
Neither team scored in the second half as Wheaton emerged with the 2-0 victory. The Thunder out-shot the Big Blue 10-2 in the final 45 minutes, including a 4-1 advantage in shots on goal.
Lauren Ketchum started in goal for the Thunder as she faced no shots in 45 minutes of work.
Madison Lee played the final 45 minutes and made one save in the Thunder net. Jennifer Miller played 90 minutes in the Millikin net, allowing two goals with 11 saves.
Wheaton out-shot the Big Blue 29-3, including a 13-1 advantage in shots on goal. The Thunder had six corner kicks in the match and Millikin had none.
