Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton Thunder women's soccer team used a late goal by senior
Morgan Whitman to gain a 1-0 victory against Luther College (3-3-0) at home on Saturday afternoon. Wheaton improves to 2-3-1 on the season with today's non-conference win.
The two teams battled through a scoreless first half despite a 13-1 advantage in shots for the Thunder in the half.

Wheaton continued to dominate with 21 shots for the Thunder in the second half. Whitman's goal came in the 79
th minute as she collected a deflected shot attempt and put it in the back of the net for the go-ahead goal. The Thunder defense and goalkeeper
Madison Lee (PICTURED LEFT) kept the shutout intact.
Lee made one save to record her first career shutout. Norse goalkeeper Lauren Thormosgard made eight saves and allowed one goal.
Wheaton out-shot the Norse 34-5, including a 9-1 advantage in shots on goal. The Thunder had eight corner kicks in the match, Luther had none.
The Thunder host Calvin College Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
