Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton women's tennis team closed out the regular season on Friday night with a 9-0 victory against Lake Forest College (10-9). Tonight's victory marked the fifth-consecutive win for the Thunder, improving Wheaton's record to 19-2 on the year.

Katie Park earned a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles and Emily Jones was a 6-3, 6-0 winner at No. 2 singles. Miranda Kay picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles and Kirstie White was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at No. 4 singles. Sara Magnuson and Emma Westwick each earned identical  6-0, 6-0 victories at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.

Jones and Park won an 8-4 decision at No. 1 doubles. Kay and Magnuson teamed for an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles and White paired with Claire Browning for an 8-0 victory at No. 3 doubles.

Wheaton will face Carthage in a semifinal match of the CCIW AQ Tournament on April 28 in Rock Island, Illinois. The victors from the tournament's two semifinal matches will play in the CCIW AQ Tournament Final on April 29, with the winner earning the CCIW's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Tournament in May.
