Kenosha, Wis. – Carthage College swept a doubleheader against the Thunder softball team on Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Reds won the opener 11-1 and Carthage completed the sweep with a 10-0 victory in the nightcap.
The Lady Reds won today's first game 11-1 as Carthage scored 11 runs, on 15 hits, with no errors and Wheaton tallied one run, on three hits, with four errors. Thunder starting pitcher
Jaclyn McLean took the loss in 1-1/3 innings of work as she allowed four runs, including three earned runs. McLean scattered five hits with one strikeout and no walks.
Kendall Kehres pitched 2-2/3 innings of relief. Kehres allowed four runs, including four earned runs on 10 hits with four strikeouts and one walk.

Morgan Ryan accounted for Wheaton's three hits in the game. Thornton scored Wheaton's lone run in the top of the third inning.
Carthage secured the sweep with a 10-0 victory in the second game. The hosts scored 10 runs, on 10 hits, with three errors and Wheaton had no runs, on four hits, with four errors. Thornton started the game in the circle for the Thunder, pitching 2-1/3 innings. The sophomore allowed seven runs, on six hits with two walks. McLean pitched 2-2/3 innings of relief, allowing three runs, including two earned runs. She scattered four hits, with one walk and two strikeouts.
Thornton collected three of Wheaton's four hits in the game, with a 3-for-3 effort at the plate. Catcher

Wheaton travels to University of Chicago on Thursday for a doubleheader with the Maroons.
