Orlando, Fla. - The Wheaton women's tennis team closed out its three-match trip to Florida on Friday with a matchup against John Carroll University. The Blue Streaks edged Wheaton, 5-4.

Wheaton opened with a 2-1 lead by winning two of the three doubles matches. The Thunder No. 2 doubles team of Sara Magnuson (PICTURED ABOVE) and Miranda Kay defeated JCU's Katherine Devine and Jennifer Stroyne, 8-4. Anna-Katherine Barrett and Claire Browning earned an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles against Natalie Bourlas and Nicolette Bourlas.

Sara Magnuson won a 6-1, 6-0 matchup at No. 4 singles against John Carroll's Katherine Devine. Emma Westwick was a 6-0, 6-2 victor at No. 5 singles against Jennifer Stroyne.

Wheaton is now 14-2 on the season. The Thunder return to action on March 24 at St. Mary's College (Ind.).
