Hanover Park, Ill. - The Thunder women's tennis team ran its season-opening win streak to seven matches on Friday evening with a 9-0 victory over North Central College at Centre Court Athletic Club. Wheaton is now 7-0 on the season and 6-0 in conference matches. The Cardinals fell to 3-7 overall and 1-5 in the CCIW.

Katie Park was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at No. 1 singles. Sara Magunson (No. 2), Miranda Kay (No. 3), Emma Westwick (No. 4), and Claire Browning (No. 5) were all 6-0, 6-0 winners and Emme Lindquist closed out singles with a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles.

Park and Browning teamed up for an 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles. The No. 2 doubles tandem of Kay and Magnuson and the No. 3 doubles team of Emme Lindquist and Nicole Freeman each earned 8-0 victories.

Wheaton will travel to Elmhurst for a 3 pm matchup with the Bluejays on Monday, October 9.
