Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton men's and women's swimming and diving teams returned to Chrouser Natatorium on Saturday afternoon and dominated a tri-meet with Augustana and North Central. The Thunder men earned a tight 129-125 win over Augustana but cruised to a 189-41 win over North Central. Wheaton's women's team defeated North Central 176-67 and Augustana 200-62. The meet served as Wheaton's final competition before the upcoming CCIW Championships.
Wheaton's 200-yard freestyle relay team of Emily Shupp, Jennifer Barich-Mooday, Brooke Barnes and Noah Cameron won a tightly contested event, edging Augustana by less than a second with a time of 1:41.75.
Erin Bagley dominated the women's action on Saturday, claiming three individual event titles. Bagley led a Wheaton 1-2-3 sweep of the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.24 to beat Barich-Mooday and Shupp. Bagley's 24.48 second time was almost a full-second ahead of the field in the 50-yard freestyle. In the 100-yard backstroke and Bagley's time of 1:00.38 was just under a second ahead of the field. Shupp took the win in the 100-yard butterfly, narrowly beating teammate Sarah Oldach with a time of 1:02.21 for a margin of victory of less than a half-second.
Brooke Barnes won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:59.56, nearly seven seconds ahead of the field. Gabbie Froiland won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:35.59 and Bethany Doyle won the 1,000-yard freestyle in 11:43.98. Kayla Roberson won the 200-yard butterfly in 2:12.92. Meredith Clarkson claimed the 200-yard individual medley in 2:18.46.
Jacob Clement replicated Bagley's three wins on the men's side, winning the 50-yard freestyle, earning the win by .05 seconds. Clement also won the 1000-yard freestyle in 48.08 seconds and the 100-yard butterfly in 51.52 seconds. 
Daniel Deysher won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.42) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:15.60). 
Micah Kimel won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:49.04. 
Will McCauley won the 500-yard freestyle in 4:53.07.
On the diving board, Abby Prince had the top score in the three-meter competition with 410.15 points and 
Tyler Yates won the men's one-meter dive with a score of 311.35 points.
