Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton College women's tennis team hosted Kalamazoo College on Saturday afternoon at the indoor courts at Wheaton Sport Center. The Hornets (7-4) picked up the 5-4 victory against the Thunder. Wheaton is now 12-4 on the season.

Kalamazoo won two of today's three doubles matches as the Hornets picked up wins at number-one and number-two doubles. The Thunder tandem of Miranda Kay and Erika Nelson earned an 8-5 win at number-three doubles against Olivia Bouchard and Kristen Ellefseon of Kalamazoo.

Thunder freshman Kirstie White was a 6-4, 6-4 victor at number-three singles against Bouchard. Wheaton's Emily Jones earned a 6-3, 6-2 win against Cheryl Zhang of Kalamazoo at number-four singles  Kay picked up a 6-2, 6-1 victory against Siani Johnson of Kalamazoo in the contest at number-five singles.

Wheaton is scheduled to return to action on April 3-4 with matches against Luther College and Carleton College in Winona, Minnesota.
