Wheaton, Ill. - The Thunder men's and women's swimming and diving teams split a dual meet on Friday night with Carthage. The Thunder women knocked off the Lady Reds 141-101 while the Thunder men fell to the Red Men 119-103. Swimming competition was held on Friday at Wheaton's Chrouser Natatorium while the diving portion of the competition was completed on Saturday morning.
The Thunder women swept the team relays, taking first place in the 200-yard medley relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay. Wheaton's foursome of Kirsty Nitz, Kayla Roberson, Sarah Oldach and Hannah Rueger finished the medley relay with a three-second edge on the field in a time of 1:49.69. Sarah Hunt, Noah Cameraon, Oldach and Rueger teamed up for the victory in the freestyle relay with a time of 1:42.17.
Kirsty Nitz led a Thunder sweep in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:54.93. Katie Cialkowski (1:58.63) and Sarah Coley (2:01.53) finished the Thunder trifecta. 
Jack O'Connor and 
Korey Clement teamed for a 1-2 finish in the men's 200-yard freestyle with times of 1:47.39 and 1:48.15 respectively.
The Wheaton women also swept the 50-yard freestyle led by Sarah Hunt (25.05), followed by Rueger (25.35) and Kelly Ormond (25.62). 
Jacob Clement and 
Jack Raymond combined for a 2-3 finish in the men's 50-free in times of 21.95 and 21.96.
Katie Deysher and 
Jon Lait each won their respective 200-yard individual medley. Deysher finished over four seconds ahead of the field in 2:10.27 and Laid was two seconds ahead with 2:01.29. Nitz and 
Chris Dingfield ruled the 100-yard butterfly. Nitz earned a four second victory and posted the fastest time in Division III this season with a time of 57.43 while Dingfield's time of 53.17 earned him a one-second victory. Nitz' time lowered her own national best time by .34 seconds.
Sarah Coley (54.55) and 
Jack O'Connor (47.21) each won the 100-yard freestyle and Erin Bagley (1:00.02) won the 100-yard backstroke while teammate Meredith Clarkson (1:04.40) finished third.  Bagley also won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:07.82, three seconds ahead of the field. Roberson and Cialkowski claimed the top two spots on the women's 500-yard freestyle. Roberson touched in 5:14.15 while Cialkowski stopped the clock at 5:23.57. 
Jacob Clement (4:54.54) took top honors in the men's 500-yard freestyle.
Chris Laugier earned first in the men's one and three meter dives with scores of 176.65 and 162.45.
