Grand Rapids, Mich. – The #5-Wheaton women's soccer team kept its season-opening win streak intact with a 1-0 victory at Calvin College (1-4) on Saturday afternoon. Head coach
Pete Felske's team has recorded a shutout in each of its last four matches. Wheaton, now 6-0 on the year, will host Aurora University on Sept. 17 at Joe Bean Stadium at 7 p.m.
Neither team gained much momentum in the first half as Wheaton attempted six shots, including one shot on goal. The Knights had three shots in the first half, including one on goal. The contest was knotted at 0-0 at the halftime intermission.

Wheaton took control in the second half, with a 16-5 advantage in shots. Thunder senior
Anna Seabolt collected a rebound off of a save by Calvin's Jenna Shelton. Seabolt put the ball past Shelton for her fourth goal of the season with an assist from
Ally Witt. Seabolt's goal in the 63rd minute was enough for the Thunder to earn the 1-0 lead.
Freshman goalkeeper
Abbey Fuster (PICTURED LEFT) posted the shutout for the Thunder, making three saves. Shelton made six saves in the Knights' net, with one goal allowed. Wheaton out-shot Calvin 22-8 with the Thunder attempting six corner kicks and Calvin was awarded four corner kicks.
