Wheaton, Ill. - Two members of the 2014 CCIW Champion Wheaton women's soccer team have been honored as All-Americans by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Senior Alexa Sharkey repeats as a NSCAA All-American and junior Ally Witt picks up her first career All-American recognition.

Alexa Sharkey (PICTURED LEFT) follows a Third Team All-American selection from the NSCAA in 2013 with First Team recognition this year. She is also a two-time NSCAA All-Region honoree after earning First Team recognition earlier this week. Earlier this fall, Sharkey was honored by the league coaches as the CCIW Player of the Year. Sharkey played in every match for the Thunder this fall with with four assists and two goals. The defender anchored a Wheaton defense that allowed just ten goals this season in 22 matches and posted a team goals against average of 0.43. Wheaton recorded 15 shutouts in its 22 matches this season.

Junior forward Ally Witt (PICTURED RIGHT), a two-time All-Region honoree, picks up her first career All-American recognition. Witt, a Third Team All-American, picked up a First Team All-CCIW honor this season by leading the Thunder with 17 goals this season and two assists. She posted a team-best 36 total points this fall and tallied a league-best nine goals in seven CCIW matches this season and led the league with 18 points.
