Lily Lindquist picks up First Team All-CCIW honors

Two Thunder women's soccer players earn All-CCIW honors

Wheaton, Ill. – Two members of the Wheaton women's soccer team were named to the 2025 All-CCIW Women's Soccer Team, as announced by the conference on Friday afternoon. Junior Lily Lindquist earned First Team All-CCIW honors,  while junior Leah Harris was a Second Team selection. Additionally, senior Danie Nishiyama was honored as a Wheaton's RESPECT Award winner in women's soccer.

Wheaton College Women's Soccer vs Trine University (1-0)/ Bob Baptista Invitational, September 6, 2025Lindquist, a junior midfielder for the Thunder, earns All-CCIW First Team accolades for the first time. She has started all 17 matches for the Thunder this season, including all eight conference matches. Lindquist  is leads the Thunder with four goals this year. She has two goals in CCIW play this fall, including the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory at home on September 27 against Elmhurst. 

Harris (PICTURED LEFT) earns Second Team All-CCIW honors at defender for the first time in her career with a strong junior season. She has anchored a Wheaton defense that recorded seven shutouts this fall, including two in CCIW play. Harris has started 16 matches for the Thunder in 2025, with more than 1,300 minutes played. She started all eight CCIW regular season matches for the Thunder, never missing a minute of conference play. Her 720 minutes played in CCIW matches tied for the team lead this season.  

Danie NishiyamaSenior Danie Nishiyama (PICTURED RIGHT) was named Wheaton's recipient of the CCIW's RESPECT Award. At the conclusion of every sports season, each varsity program recognizes one student-athlete as their RESPECT Award honoree. RESPECT Award recipients have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust. The RESPECT Award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify great character and encourages inclusiveness and a positive culture.
