GAME STATS Chicago, Ill. – The Wheaton Thunder women's soccer team earned a 6-1 victory at North Park University (6-12-0/1-6-0) on Saturday night. Tonight's match was the regular season finale for both teams. Wheaton secured outright possession of the 2014 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Championship by finishing the regular season with a league-best 6-0-1 conference record. Wheaton, ranked seventh in this week's NSCAA Division III Coaches Poll, owns a 16-1-2 overall record. Wheaton's conference championship is the program's league-best 17th title in women's soccer.
Wheaton will be the number-one seed in the upcoming CCIW Tournament. The Thunder will host fourth-seeded Elmhurst on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. in the CCIW Tournament Semifinals. The advancing team from Tuesday's match will face the advancing team from the other tournament semifinal on Saturday at the highest remaining seed. Illinois Wesleyan will host Augustana on Wednesday in the other CCIW Tournament Semifinal.

Pete Felske noted, "We are excited to be playing at home next week. We know that it is going to be a tough road in the conference tournament. Anything that we can get on our side to help us mentally and emotionally will certainly help."
Wheaton led 4-0 at halftime of tonight's match as
Bailey Wysocki netted Wheaton's first goal in the 13th minute and
Mary Pettit scored in the 25th minute.
Ally Witt (PICTURED LEFT) added goals in the 27th and 43rd minute to help the guests' first-half effort. Wheaton out-shot the Vikings 23-2 in the first half.
Sydney Sharkey netted a goal in the 54th minute and Witt scored a goal on a penalty kick in the 58th minute to account for Wheaton's six goals on the night. North Park's Emma Lundeen scored in the 60th minute to put the Vikings on the scoreboard.
Wheaton out-shot the Vikings 30-7 in the match. Wheaton was awarded six corner kicks and the Vikings had one. Wheaton goalkeeper
Kelsey Graham made one save in 32 minutes of action in the Wheaton net, with no goals allowed.
Mary Daghfal allowed no goals in 25 minutes of work and
Abbey Fuster allowed one goal in 34 minutes in net for the Thunder. North Park goalkeeper Megan Durkee made nine saves and allowed six goals on the night.
