Rock Island, Ill.-
The Wheaton women's basketball team had its seven-game win streak ended with a 60-53 loss at Augustana on Wednesday night. Wheaton shot just 4-of-31 from the three-point line in the loss and falls to 11-2 on the season and 2-1 in CCIW. For the Thunder, the loss also snaps a nine game win streak against Augustana and it is Wheaton's first loss at the Carver Center since 2002.

Wheaton shot 17-for-67 (25.4%) from the field and 12.9% from the three-point line. The Thunder was 15-for-22 from the charity stripe for a 68.2% clip.

Augustana was 21-for-54 (38.9%) from the field and 6-for-17 (35.3%) from the three-point line but was 0-5 from behind the three-point arc in the second half. The Vikings were 12-of-15 from the free throw line.

The Vikings opened the game with a pair of three-pointers to take a quick 6-0 lead en route to opening up a 19-8 edge midway through the first half. Augustana would push the lead to as high as 20 points at two occasions including a 38-18 lead at the halftime break. Augie used a 6-for-12 showing from beyond the arc while Wheaton sputtered from deep, hitting just 1 of its 11 three-point attempts.

Breanna Bohlen
An early bucket by the Vikings gave them their biggest lead of the night at 22 points before Wheaton started to cut into the lead. After working the lead down to 51-41 with 5:19 remaining, back-to-back three-pointers by Breanna Bohlen (PICTURED RIGHT) and a jumper by Moriah Reeves made up an 8-2 run that cut the lead down to 53-49 with 2:45 left. From that point Wheaton went 1-of-7 from the field and couldn't finish the comback, ultimately dropping the game 60-53.

Ellie Zeller led the Thunder with a career-high 11 points and 11 rebounds. Bohlen also had 11 points, while Brooke Olson finished with 10 points and eight rebounds. Hannah Considine had nine rebounds to go along with seven points.

Jessica Baids finished with a game-high 18 points for the Vikings.

Wheaton (11-2, 2-1 CCIW) will host Millikin (5-8, 0-3) at King Arena on Saturday night with tipoff at 5 PM.
