The Thunder women's basketball team to host two special events on Feb. 4

The Wheaton College women's basketball team will be hosting two unique events on Saturday, February 4 during their 6PM game against Elmhurst College.

Elementary-aged fans and their families are invited to attend the game at a discounted rate, and the kids will have the opportunity to get into the action on the court with halftime competitions.  At the same time, the Thunder are using the night to promote breast cancer awareness through their partnership with Play4Kay.

Play 4Kay, is an initiative that allows a nation of coaches to raise awareness and funds for cancer research on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. Named after the late Kay Yow, former NC State University head women's basketball coach, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund seeks to be a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause.
